Emergency aid

After natural disasters, Henkel responds quickly and unbureaucratically, providing aid through our foundation, the Fritz Henkel Stiftung, wherever it is needed in the world. In providing this assistance, we take care to ensure that 100 percent of all third-parties donations are passed on to the people affected.

Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia were hit hard by massive flooding in May 2014. Henkel in Croatia and Serbia quickly organized product donations and distributed them via the local Red Cross organizations in the respective regions. Product donations from Henkel’s Central and Eastern Europe headquarters in Vienna totaled 50,000 euros. The foundation also made a monetary donation to the flood victims.

The Red Cross delivered Henkel donations totaling six tons of detergent and 29,000 hygiene products to the Serbian cities of Ćićevac, Trstenik and Rekavac.

In April 2014, the foundation provided financial donations to the Salvation Army of Arkansas in the USA after tornados devastated parts of the state. After flooding in Michigan in the USA in August 2014, Henkel organized product and monetary donations for the affected regions.
